“Here I stand waiting upon you, My daughter. Do you not hear My voice as I speak to you? Why do you not answer me?”
“It is not that I wish not to answer You, my Lord. It is my greatest desire to hear and please You. If I am hesitant it is because I must make sure it is Your voice. I do not want to hear the voice of another. It is You only that I long to glorify. I must hear more clearly.”
“You are correct in that I will not tolerate any other god before me. Do not be afraid, My little one. I will speak to you clearly and show you the way. Place your trust in Me, and I will guide you into all truth. I will be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Follow Me and set your eyes upon Me, not the things of the world.”
“Yes, Lord. I hear Your sweet, tender voice calling to me. It is in You alone that I put my trust. I will not put my trust in the world, for it will betray me. You will not leave me. Man will misdirect me. For man’s ways are not Your ways. My Master will not lead me wrong. In myself I am unable to progress. Your Spirit will be my guide. Any righteousness I have is as old, filthy rags, in comparison to You. Thank you for allowing me to be in your presence.”
“Come. Walk with Me. Know that I am the Lord, your God. I have made you and formed you after My own image. I am intimately acquainted with you. I know your heart, your deepest thoughts. I know even the number of hairs on your head. Walk with me and learn to know me more personally. Lift up your soul to Me, and I will hear you. I will teach you My ways. I am slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness. I will help you and comfort you, not leading you astray. Reach out and take My hand. Come, walk beside Me in the coolness of the morning, in the fullness of the day, in the glow of the evening sunset, and through the stillness of the night. I do not slumber and I do not sleep, but remain ever aware.”
“Lord, please forgive me for not fully putting my total trust in You.”
“You are forgiven, my lovely one. You are loved greatly. Place your trust in Me, and peace will be yours. Arise and walk with Me. Sing unto Me a new song. Serve Me with gladness and fullness of heart. Come before Me with joy, for I am your strength. Walk with Me in praise; let your heart be glad. Look unto Me.”
“Yes, my Lord. I will remain in step with you. Thank you for showing me merciful kindness.”
“I am the only way, the only truth. In Me you will not stumble or fall.”
“Please take my hand in Your hand and lead me, for I know You will never leave me nor forsake me. Spread Your wings over my shoulders allowing me to be next to You, there is my safe haven.”
“I Am the living water. Drink from Me and you will thirst no more.”
Bowing low she said, “Help me to firmly fix my gaze upon You so that I may fight the good fight. In faith may I run the race set before me and finish the course not wavering from Your path. As a fawn pants for water, my soul will thirst for Your Word. You are worthy of all worship and praise. You are my precious Corner Stone, my Firm Foundation. In You will I not be disappointed. You are the Alpha and the Omega for which there is no end. You only will I worship forever and ever, my Lord and my King.”
“Come. Take My hand. Let us walk together.”
