So many times in our lives we get to a certain point and have to make a CHOICE. What we CHOOSE determines the outcome for not only our life, but the lives of many others. Sometimes we make decisions hastily, because we don’t realize just how many peoples lives our CHOICES will affect. The FLESH and the devil keep us so inner focused, they easily push us to make our CHOICES thinking only of how it will affect us, instead of how God intends us to make ALL our decisions. God first, then others (Mark 12:30-31)
Jesus Christ set the perfect example of how important it is to focus on God first, then others in our Choices.
Jesus Christ could have made ANY CHOICE He wanted to when it came time for him to be crucified on that cross for our sins. He could have said forget it, but he didn’t. Jesus knew the pain he was going to have to endure, yet He did it anyway, because He was thinking of God and you, and not on Himself (Luke 22:41-44)
In every CHOICE Christ made His entire life, He CHOSE the Fathers way. No matter how horrible it would be on Him, Jesus still made the CHOICE to OBEY the Father. The beautiful thing is after Jesus made the commitment to OBEY the Father, He was strengthened to carry it out.
Luke 22:43 “And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.”
What about all those out there that we affect every time we say no to the Father and His will for our lives? How much suffering are we causing them with our selfish CHOICES? When you CHOOSE the Father’s will for your life, God will NEVER leave you hanging. NEVER! All you have to do is CHOOSE the Father’s will and God will do the rest. Will it always go the way we think it should go? Of course not! But we have to believe that God is in control and trust Him with the outcome. We have to know that God will accomplish His GOOD with our CHOICES (Romans 8:28-29). To bring an opportunity for someone else to have life.
God first, then others were the only two concerns of Jesus Christ His entire ministry for the Father. That is why He was able to CHOOSE the will of the Father in every situation. He didn’t think of Himself (John 6:37-39).
If you are to become Christ-like, a Christian, this must become your purpose also. You must stop focusing on YOURSELF and start putting ALL your focus on God first, then others. Then and only then can you begin to DESIRE the will of God in every situation and CHOOSE Him. You have only one SOUL and one CHOICE in this life and that is Jesus Christ and His way for the rest of your life.
Don’t let anyone influence you to CHOOSE any other way in your life, other than the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus Christ (John 14:6).
Matthew 10:28 Jesus says: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Every CHOICE you make affects you and others. How many lives will you affect today with your choices? 1,10,50,100,1000,10,000?
