Topic: Personal Peace (06/01/06)
I can not imagine personal peace being described as anything other than a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
If it was not for Him, i would be in constant turmoil because of the way the world is today, but thank God we have the Holy Spirit still among us to give us His peace, true peace. I praise God that there are still loving and honest people in this world, but that is true only because of Him working in our lives.
Since becoming a christian, i can see now how perfect His peace really is and i can not believe that i lived without it for so long. Who can have real peace without Him?
Peace, to me, God's peace, is the ultimate euphoria.
Yes, we will always have trials and temptations, but as long as we have Jesus in our lives and in our hearts...there is NOTHING we cannot accomplish or get through as long as he is by our side leading us and loving us.
I have gone through many trials in my life, as has many, but God has seen me through, and has made me stronger and wiser and more at peace with who i am today.
Even though i struggle for God's perfect peace daily amongst the burdens and fears of this life, i live in eager anticipation of the true perfect peace that i will behold one day when i stand before my Lord and live with Him forever.
Then and only then will i have true perfect personal peace.

Very nice. I can relate to what you wrote. I also long for the day when we will be with the Lord and living in perfect peace with Him.

You could have stopped after the first sentence - that says it all. Good devotion overall, some minor issues but the message holds.

WOW! I enjoyed your story. it reminds me a lot of myself having to face all sorts of obstacles in my life. Anf you're right they pnly come to make me strong. Good writing!
