Lord, you gave me hope
That tiny little seed you planted
Way down deep inside of me
I didn’t even know it was there ‘til now
It must’ve been buried underneath
Under the layers of put downs, insults and guilt
I am only a baby within your great kingdom
That tiny little seed of hope
Has finally taken root
I’ve been giving you my troubles
The ones that I hold way down deep inside
Underneath my troubles must’ve been that seed of hope
Hope is Helping Oppressed People Emerge
With You, I know I have purpose
With You, I know I will survive
Living without You is life in darkness
Life without You is full of hopelessness
You, my Lord are what my life has been missing
You are what I so desperately needed
I was one of the lost children
Trying so helplessly to make it on my own
I was so often told I couldn’t
I truly believed it
With You, I have hope that I can
It’s just a tiny little four-letter word
But, the meaning behind it
Makes it one of the greatest of all
Without hope, I wouldn’t have found my faith
Without faith, I wouldn’t have found You
I have hope for a future now
A future with You
I have hope that I can do it
Whatever You created me to do
Oh Lord, that tiny little seed of hope
Is blooming within me
Hope is YOU helping oppressed people emerge
To fulfill their God given destiny!
