Beautiful poem, I loved this!
Thank you.
Nice message. I too wonder, "How long, oh Lord." Life can be hard to take, yet there is so much to do.

Work on keeping your rhythm steady throughout the poem. I always read poems aloud to hear them, it helps in the writing too. If you stumble, that is an area to work on.

I agree with Debbie about the rhythm but the feelings expressed in the poem are sincere. It is not for us to know the time and place, so in the meantime we just have to trust in His mercy. Nice poem.

I really like this poem alot. I agree that you should work on your rhythm, I think if you work on that your poems will be amazing! Great job on this piece.
Clear expression of a longing for Christ's reign indeed. And there is much yet to do to welcome the King! Yet, even now we can "enter" the kingdom, as Jesus said, "...the kindgom is within you." I'm sure God will reward your yearning and seeking for refuge in HIM as you learn more and more about taking refuge "under HIS wings" even now day by day and become the mighty warrior "king" you are destined to be.
Blessings,
Carol

I like this - I sometimes long for when I can "leave this earth below." Well done.

Here's a specific suggestion to help with the rhythm of this type of poetry. Try reading it out loud, and over-emphasizing the stressed syllables. You'll be able to tell right away what the pattern is, and then work on keeping the same pattern through the whole poem.

This poem really does a good job of expressing the longings that we all have. How long, indeed!
