Lingering deep within the mind.
Forever dwelling on the past
Giving that which could not surpass.
Reaching far into the sky,
Stretching farther and yet still not high,
Gaining the knowledge can only kill
What your mind has yet to feel.
Open doors entice you in,
Enter wisely for it could be the end.
Looking in on Closed Souls
As they spin beyond control.
Wanting peace and wanting freedom,
Waiting for both and yet neither,
Forever gone beyond their grasp,
As lights pure essence tumbles past.
Freedom lying beyond the reach
Of those whose souls sink in defeat.
Bound and gagged in this twilight hour,
Forever gone and spiraling higher
Waiting for the beast to awake
Darkness echoes this dreary place.
Waiting for the open door,
While your soul flies free once more
Wishing for the twilight hour,
Passing the silent nights' dreary power,
As the soul begins to fade
The doors will open with cries of pain.
Will the key fit in the lock?
To close these doors within the dark,
Freeing these souls that are bound
When the darkest hour comes around.
