Just Call Out His Name

It was a work day and the hour was early when my friend called to report her miracle. With tears in her voice she told me she had been in an accident on a busy California freeway. After being hit, her vehicle had rolled over and had slid for quite a distance upside down. She thought she would surely die. She frantically cried out for Jesus to help her. She said that her fears were instantly replaced with a sense of calm once she called on the Lord. Are you getting this? She called–He answered! His response to her pleading cry for help was instantaneous. He had put a shield of protection around her.

Though she had to be cut out of the caved in vehicle, she emerged with only minor cuts and bruises. All who witnessed the accident said it was a miracle that she lived through it. “Yes,” she assured them, “it was a miracle!”

Our heavenly Father is so loving and caring that he reaches out to help his children whenever they call upon his name. I thanked Kathy for sharing her miracle with me. It was a great way to start my day. Is there someone you could share a miracle with? Your experience could make a difference in their life–a difference in the way they think, feel and react to an up close and personal account of Jesus’ love . . . just a thought.

Starting your message with a real-life story is such a great way to get folks' attention. People remember stories. To me stories are like the container that holds the treasure. When a person recalls the story, later, s/he has the opportunity to grasp the treasure all over again. Good job!

Jesus is always there in times of need, we just need to ask for his help. A well written article.
