Each morning I wake up, it starts with
A blank page.
What will be written there is a choice...
Love or rage.
It can be full or empty, without any
Acts of grace.
If I look at this page through God's
Eyes, it will slow the pace.
At the top of the page is where
It will all start,
With praise and gratitude, from the
Depths of our heart.
Then there will be prayers for others,
Their supply and need.
Also, to plant His word for them as
Living seed.
There will be prayers for those who
Are alone,
That God will fill their lonely days
With His love shown.
On it there will be much to write...
Words of encouragment that helps
Anothers burden be light.
Upon this page should be acts of
Mercy, His will be done...
Written with love, to reveal God's
Beloved Son.
No matter how busy our plans
For today may be...
God's wants His life to be shown
Through you and me.
We will see on our page, a space
And time to draw aside...
To be alone with Him, and with His
Word abide.
At the end of our day, what will we
Find on our page written there...
Will it have served God, or only
Self be found there.
I hope at the end of my day, as I look
At the page, I will see...
I gave to others, all He has given
To me.
