Memories she is unable to just let go.
Memories of dreams and promise not kept
The reality of it she cannot except.
How can she move on from the pain and the tears?
Feeling all hope is gone and no one really cares.
She reaches out at night and no one is there
Being all alone is something she can’t bear.
Everything they had she thought was real
How can she find the strength to carry on and heal?
How was it she never knew
Or did she shut her eyes believing this can’t be true.
She laid in bed one night and begun to pray
LORD I’m so tired of feeling this way.
The LORD spoke to her and told her, first
My child you have been through much worst.
Haven’t I been there to see you through
You came through it all and you will come through this too.
Second, He said, let go of the baggage that’s holding you down
Why are you still carrying it around?
The time has come for you to spread your wings
For I AM the Lord of lords and the King of kings.
Have you forgotten you are my daughter?
For I AM your living water.
I have placed in you everything you will need
To come through this and to succeed.
So, rise my daughter and go on your way
For I will be with today and every day.
