God’s Grace Is The Answer.

Burdens are unnecessary rules and regulations which create baggage that causes some to abandon their heavenly journey. People often carry unnecessary baggage because of their ignorance of who Jesus was and what he did. Man’s traditions have been a stumbling block to many who seek Jesus and an entrance into God’s kingdom. Jesus said “Come to Me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew. 11:28-30, New Living Translation. I asked myself if Jesus’s yoke is easy why are some Christians constantly telling believers all the things they need to do in order to earn and retain their salvation.



A reading and study of the Bible has shown the inability of man to carry the burden of the law and its requirements. Prior to a deeper understanding of Jesus’s message, I was led to acknowledge my inability to abide by the many rules and regulations. I was miserable because I loved God and wanted to serve him. I believed I could never live up to the standards set for me.



Some fail to seek to enter God’s kingdom because of man’s traditions. Man’s traditions have been a stumbling block for many. Jesus said “his yoke was easy and His burdens were light” After much prayer God led me to someone who explained God’s grace. I now know we are saved by grace through faith. The baggage which I and many carried did not guarantee my entrance into God’s kingdom. Jesus in his message provided the answer. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but shall have eternal life.” John 3:16 New Living Translation I now understand I received God’s salvation when I chose to believe in Jesus, God’s son. Believing is receiving. Free at last. Thank God I am free at last. I am free to serve God because I love him.

Yes, by God's grace our lives will be an expression of what Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount. The Holy Spirit may have to work on our hearts some so we show that our belief in Jesus and obedience to what he teaches is expresses in each hour of our new life following Jesus, the Christ.

Keep encouraging others to remember our life should resemble someone guided by the Sermon on the Mount.
