You already know my last name, the first is Cobalt. Middle initial N.(Navy)
It’s the color of my eyes, my hair and everything I wear. When you see me, you will know who I am. My jacket, shirt, pants, socks, and shoe are all matching.
It’s the song I sing, the music I make, the only thing I ever talk about. Don’t you dare mention Christmas!
My house is not hard to find, it's the first one on the street, my doors are painted red, the windows white, and the walls are in that bold accent. The flag blows gently in a southern wind. I’m as patriotic as they come.
I am partner with a well-known jet-airline.
My car is just the one I wanted, ‘twas the last one on the lot. No-one else showed any interest in it—evidently it was meant for me. A perfect fit for my world. The wireless “…tooth†connection works well with my Samsung Galaxy 8
It’s not my fault I turned out this way. The day I was born the moon changed color. Therefore, my personality exhibits an intimate-do-gooder who likes connecting with others. I’m supposed to be motivated by purpose, but the way is unclear since I’m always moody. As a perfectionist, I’m prone to constant worry and fear about things not being done the way I want them.
I have difficulty trusting others so I’m always insecure. I can be judgmental, resentful, unforgiving and a true to the color--pessimist.
I try to be loyal, sincere and thoughtful, yet I have so few associates. I like hanging out with chocolate brown, we have compatible traits and we’ve been friends for a long time. Gold, orange, and yellow live in the same neighborhood; they serve as background for several of my paintings, but these guys are exceptional interior decorators. Black is somewhat special--he has his own circle of friends and can be boastful about his popularity with white. I like pink, but she finds me overbearing and has problems toning me down; I won't let her. Magenta is my best friend. You may rarely see us together, but we’re cool.
You can always find me on social media, or at www.rwb.us.gov. My two cousins and I are committed to God and country. Many have tried to separate us, but we don’t run.
We’re together forever: On the 4th of July, during elections and inaugurations, on Veterans day, as a matter of fact, we are all over the world. Together, we represent the greatest nation in the world and we are proud and honored to serve. We’re red. white and me.

I didn't catch on at first that the MC was a crayon, as were the friends.
We, as writers know what we mean, it needs to be clear to your readers or they will be left scratching their heads.
Keep trying, you'll get there.
I liked the creativity of the story. I happened to read the first critique and missed the part of the character being a crayon, but I knew from the colors that you were talking about blue.
