I decided that I needed to make a change for myself and for the first time since I was a little girl, I went to church. I enjoyed the atmosphere at First Church of God, and the lesson was on Moses and how he was shy but God used him anyway to free his people.
After the service was over, a man came my way. He saw that I looked sad and a little out of place. He asked me to come with him. He had something he felt I should see. Now I'm not the type to just follow a stranger, but for some reason this man had a since of purity about him. So I went to my car and he led me the way to a side of town I was always afraid to drive in. Everyone just knew that this was the gang side of town, fathers leave their kids, kids out causing trouble, mothers to busy selling themselves to care what the kids were doing.
I couldn't have been more wrong. When we got out of our cars, I looked around. I saw a father lift his small son up to the top of the six foot pole. His son laughed and shouted about the slam dunk he just made, while the mothers prepared their evening meal. When these families and individuals saw the man walking with me they stopped what they were doing and walked up to him, the children ran, but all with open arms.
Teddy, a man I knew from work was one that was in this crowed. I asked him what was going on, and all he would say is that the man I was with, has helped them all. I always thought of Ted to be just like me. loner in every since of the word.
A short while later, we headed back to my house. As the man walked me to my door, I asked him his name. He spoke soft and kind, as he simply stated that his name was Jesus and he wanted me to know that I had never truly been alone.
I never saw Jesus again, not in the body form anyway, but I continued to go to church and got to know him well. I then realized that my loneliness wasn't due to people not liking me, I just didn't like myself and I pushed others away.
I am now a dedicated member of the First Church of God. I am engaged to Teddy, we even have a cat. Once or twice a month we go out with other couples from our church, and have attended the last two Christmas parties together at work.
I'm not saying that everyday is easy for me, but I now see that life is what you make of it. It does not matter whether you are rich, poor, or in between, nobody is ever really alone. All a person has to do is open themselves, their eyes, their heart and their soul, and they will find that Jesus has always been there, and always will.

My main suggestion would be to integrate dialog into your story. Example: "What's up?" Teddy asked,as he was attempting a jump shot (Not the best example, but I hope you see what I'm getting at).
Also, you misspelled crowd (crowed).
