YES, our Great-Grandson Stephen Dean is “Indefatigable’ - And comes from generations of men with the same pace. Oh, the stories we could tell!!!
Stephen Dean attends a Christian school, Salem Academy in Oregon. The First Grade Class has an assignment. We are participating by showing activities that Stephen Dean and ‘Flat Stanley’ have done, or will do. Here’s the scoop!!
TEACHER NOTES: "After reading the book, ‘Flat Stanley’, by Jeff Brown, the First Grade Class of Salem Academy is sending out student colored copies of ‘Flat Stanley to family and friends all over America. Students can share about the journeys taken and activities accomplished in various ‘Neck-of-the-Woods."
With this activity, your student, Stephen Dean Keller, is learning about reading, writing, language, social studies and math.
We Great-Grandparents are showing ‘Flat Stanley’ and Stephen Dean doing activities by using pictures. We live in the mountains with forests of Ponderosa Pine near numerous high mountain lakes, Lava flows left from volcanic activity, and high- mountain peaks with spacious views into mountains of Washington and California. Camping, hiking trails, hunting and fishing areas surround us.
Big Papa drives the huge ‘Snow-Cat Groomer’ in the Newberry Caldera National Monument where Paulina Peak and Paulina and East Lakes are surrounded by a volcanic caldera. What an exciting tour can be had in the winter when pushing the snowdrifts over a cliff or smoothing out the trail for snowmobilers, snow-shoers, cross-country skiers, dog-sled teams, or ice climbers headed to the frozen Paulina Falls.
In the summer, 'Flat Stanley' along with Stephen Dean can hike with us over solid Obsidian Butte trails, sit in hot springs, fish at Paulina or East Lake or hike and take pictures. There is plenty to do for ‘Flat Stanley, Stephen Dean, Papa and Big Papa - Each man is indefatigable.

I think if you gave a short synopsis of the book within your story; it would give the reader a better idea about the assignment.
