The black diamonds are the valley of resolves, where the white diamonds the resolution made and acted upon.
After I moved from the white to the black diamond, it was there the gray areas began to appear, beckoning me to change my mind and my resolve to another place, that might be more appealing. Once in the gray area I stood, pondering, and at times wavering, until I was back in the valley of resolves, the black diamond; where I needed that strength and encouragement from God's Word.
The gray diamonds are the shadows, a place where I seemed not to be cold nor hot - but lingering - lukewarm - procrastinating, forgetting my resolution.
The smaller diamonds of black and white together made a whole diamond, the place of quantifying that resolution to go forward and onward for God. As I stayed on the white and black smaller diamonds, weighing the needs and the wants, trying to make sense of this place that God has allowed in my life, the Holy Spirit tenderly and patiently draws me back to the place where, long ago, my prayer was and still is, never to have a "bitter" heart, no matter what.
As I travel this journey on earth to my Heavenly Home, there are decisions along the way. Some decisions are bad, or so it seems, some are good, or so it seems. But when the decisions are made, as God reveals through His Word the way to go, I know (1)"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." I must keep my eyes on the prize and (2) ".....lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us (me), and let us (me) run with the patience the race that is set before us (me), looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our (my) faith".
God always brings me back to that place of resolution.
