Topic: MIX (10/22/15)
Angels are walking amongst us—sent with clear instructions of protection, guidance, comfort, victory and blessings. They are not a figment of our imaginations or a group, set apart and easily noticed, but a real and powerful part of God's plan for our lives that mingles with us.

They do not always appear in dreams and visions but may be as real as any human being. Look around and see the answers to prayers taken place. They are real!

Ten years ago, at the prime of a promising tennis career, an unexpected storm arose across the horizon and I reached a point of no return. All doors for new opportunities have closed on me and I had no idea where to go. After suffering yet another disappointing and fatal injury, I crumbled to the ground and prayed, "Lord, all my life, I thought tennis was my purpose...now what? Please send me an answer?"

While sitting by myself, overwhelmed with mixed emotions and considering my options, I noticed someone sitting beside me. I have never seen the lady before, but her love, warmth and gentleness were undeniable. She had one sentence to share, "Dearest child, your time in tennis is completed, and a new course has been set for you by God. Let Him guide you. You will be okay."

I looked down for a second, and before I could respond she was gone, nowhere to be seen. There was nothing odd about her and she blended in as if she has always been part of the tennis scene, but I have never seen her before and never saw her again. As I settled back, I knew an angel of God visited me and her words resonated a truth God tried to make me accept for a while, and I was finally prepared to acknowledge it.

For too long, I was caught up in my own dreams, which I had mistaken as God's will for my life. Tennis may have been part of God's plan for me to enjoy, but never to be placed on the throne of my life.

Today, I thank God for His angels that walk amongst us on the command of His Word. It took one prayer together with God's appointed time to bless me with a conversation that changed my life.
