Topic: Trees (12/05/05)
THAT Tree.
The one over there.
See it?
It's forbidden, you say?
Why?
It's pleasing to the eye.
Good for food.
Desirable.
All who partake will gain wisdom.
I'm sure He won't mind...just a nibble.
Forget about the other trees provided..
They don't even compare.
Aren't enough.
They can't fulfill you like THAT tree.
Is it really wrong?
After all, it's in your best interest.
He can't be trusted.
You know what's best.
Just a nibble should be enough.
Just a taste.

That tree.
The one over there.
See it?
Yeah, that'll do.
It's gnarled and dying.
Won't be good for anything else.
May as well use it this week.
A dying tree for a man to die on.
Fitting.
Did you hear who'll be crucified this week?
Yeah, that's what I heard too.
He claims to be the Son of their God.
He claims to be the giver of life...
The truth...the only way...
But they want him dead.
They say he can't be trusted.
They think they know best.
Think it's better if he dies.
On the tree.
Cursed.

THAT tree.
The one over there.
See it?
It grows at the River of Life.
Beautiful.
Breathtaking.
Yes! You may eat of its fruit.
The Tree of Life.
No, child, there is no more curse.
My Son took your curse...on Himself.
But He broke it.
He broke it and you are free.
You have been healed.
I have shown you My face.
You are sealed with My name.
You can trust Me.
I know best.
You may eat from THAT tree.
Just a nibble is enough.
Just a taste.

Well done with this. It is well thought out and makes the reader stop and read it slowly to get all it has to say.

This is so totally original! By the third stanza I couldn't wait to see what you had written. I also like the way you made the ending of each stanza similar, but each had such a signifcant and different point to make. A very clear expression of God's perfect knowledge.
