“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
God knows what is good for us physically, psychologically, mentally and even socially, and it is to be thankful. Some people keep a thankfulness journal and write down what they are thankful for every day. It is not a bad idea. Here is how it will help you.
Physically thank full attitude helps a number of things. Can’t sleep? Thankfulness helps! Tired and lacking energy? Be grateful! It will energize you. Thankfulness has been shown to lower blood pressure. It also makes your immune system stronger so you get less colds and flu. And the best part is that you will live longer.
Emotionally you feel better, are more relaxed, happier, are less jealous and are more able to bounce back from difficult situations, and have happier memories. Also it makes you less materialistic, less self centered, more optimistic, have better self esteem, and be more spiritual.
Psychologically gratefulness helps you as well. The science behind this is called positive psychology. If you are sad a lot, be thankful because people who are thankful are less depressed. Gratefulness makes a magic change in attitude. Science says thankfulness makes you happier, more joyful, and optimistic. It also should give you a happier, healthier marriage.
Socially thankful attitudes make you more giving, and kinder. The attitude of gratitude makes you more trusting, helps you make more friends and be more social, and makes those relationships better and deeper.
God tells us what keeping an unappreciative attitude brings in Romans 1:21 “For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.” So be thankful in all things, for all things. It is good for you.

God bless~
When you began, you listed the ways to be thankful: physically, psychologically, mentally and even socially, but you did not explain them in that order. I usually expect orderly examples when the ideas are presented at the beginning. It could just be me, I like systematic thinking.
This is more my opinion and I know not everyone feels this way, but sometimes when the second person (you) is used, I feel like I'm being lectured. I tend to relate more if the person writes in the first person. It makes me feel like I'm not alone. For example, you could do something like this:A physically thankful attitude helps me in a number of ways. If I can't sleep, I use the time to give thanks. Before, I know it, counting my blessings helps me feel restful.
I really liked the Scriptures you used. They really reinforce your great message. I can definitely feel your passion and your desire to spread the joy Jesus has given you with others. Nice job.
