Topic: Expert (09/05/13)
As I stood cutting the birthday cake for Sherry’s 2nd AA birthday, I observed that a few chose to forgo
the treat, and passed it on to someone else. I immediately assumed that the individuals passing the
cake didn’t want any birthday cake.
Before slicing the decadent chocolate cake, I had been discussing my hot yoga class which I had just
finished. Yoga and calorie counting were on my mind. Not everyone wants to count calories. Of course,
my thinking says they do. After slicing the pieces of yummy chocolate cake, I sat down.
My friend next to me reminded me, “ You didn’t give a piece to Dick, or Joe.” Since they had passed
the cake to the next person, I assumed they didn’t want any cake.
My ego tells me, “ You know what everyone wants. You are the expert on predicting peoples’
behavior”
Boy, was I wrong. I had to go back and cut more cake. This situation proves to me I’m not
the expert on peoples’ behavior.
Since I’m not an expert, who wants cake?

I want a piece of cake but can I have a white cake with lemon icing.

You may have used a form that looked OK as you wrote it but the Faith Writers margins didn't take it as you meant it.

I just write my article on my Word program and then copy and past it in the box.

Then before I hit send or enter, (I forget which is it) I look at the preview first. I read it over and if it does not look right I can go back and redo the piece until it look right to me.

OH, By the way, For my birthday I always ask my wife for a lemon marange (sp) PIE.
