BEAUTIFUL DRESSES

This story warms my heart, it has been told to me many times by different family members. It shows how strong the bond of love is between a mother and her child.

As first born on both side of the family I was the pride and joy of all, and recipient of immense love!

My dad worked hard to support us, but things were tough we didn't have much and no room for extra. It was my first Easter and mom being so proud of me wanted to dress me up and show me off, unfortunately there wasn't any extra money for a pretty dress.

My mom being the most gifted seamstress ever, a gift that GOD bestowed upon her, found a piece of georgetto fabric. She created the most beautiful dress ever, with intricate designs and beautiful stitches that all came together to make a special dress for her special baby.

I was about a month shy of my first birthday and the hit of the day!

All my life I have had beautiful dresses made by her including my wedding dress.

She carried on the tradition when I had my three beautiful daughters. There was never any shortage of beautiful dresses for any and every occasion.

Her hands were always busy creating beautiful things!

My mom's hands can't create beautiful dresses anymore because of her arthritis. My girls and I want to say thank you mom, thank you nonna for all the beautiful memories and BEAUTIFUL DRESSES!

What a touching and beautiful tribute to your mom. You should print it out and give it to her, I'm sure she'll treasure it.

The dresses sound beautiful! How amazing that she made your wedding dress too. I pray you've kept some of those lovely vintage dresses, they sound priceless...just like your precious mom.
