It can directly affect your soul,
Choose wisely just the right kind,
Pick music you want filling your mind.
It directly affects how we treat others,
As enemies, friends, sisters or brothers,
It can raise our chins up off our chests,
To see new sights like birds in their nests.
If we opt to hear the wrong song,
It will change how we get along,
Walking around looking at the ground,
All because we just liked the sound.
Our whole attitude is in our control,
As music is a very powerful tool,
Choose wisely what enters our mind,
We can be cruel or we can be kind.
Listen to praises of our Lord and King,
His Love changes our view on everything,
He loves us more than we’ll ever know,
Praising our Saviour helps us grow.
Fill our minds with songs about Him,
Love and Joy will flow over our brim,
Music really is a powerful tool,
It affects our heart, mind, and soul.
