Topic: Singing (10/31/05)
Singing’s for today and for tomorrow. We sing with happiness; we sing with sorrow. We sing with pride for school and all. We sing for fun; we sing to make the work go smooth. We sing to while away the hour, but it doesn’t matter what the time, we should sing with Him in mind.

We sing to give the Lord our worship. We sing to Him in adoration. We sing to give Him all the honor. We sing to give Him all the praise that He alone deserves. In church we freely join the choir; but, when we sing at other times, do we ever sing with Him in mind?

Although He finds our praises fine, He loves us so He’d like to join no matter what our songs define. So, if its opera or a ditty, something naughty, something pretty, I’m sure He’d find it just divine if we would sing with Him in mind.

Thank the Lord for the Holy Spirit who points us in the right direction so we can sing those songs of praise.

This is a charming poem; maybe set up in a more conventional poetry format it would flow more smoothly. A spelling "wile" instead of "while." And I'm not sure about singing naughty songs for the Lord...but I really appreciated your lighthearted approach to this topic.
