Topic: Download/Upload (11/17/11)
Uploads leave a computer, hardware device or internet. Downloads are obtained from another computer, hardware device, or internet. This is so simple and strange. Sometimes I wonder why an upload of money into an account takes time to deposit into a bank account. The money usually takes from two plus days to possibly a five day clearance. It doesn’t take long to upload a Christian encouragement to websites. Downloads to the recipient of funds, are commonly slow so a profit can be earned somewhere, to someone in cyber space. Uploads of Christian writings of Biblical principles are ours to download for profitable spiritual needs to gain eternal values, so our lives can be effective for God.

Money has an importance in our life. But the things which will help our walk through life are “eternal values. Man's nature can be seen in a mirror as it reflects an image of spiritual pride. An actor in an old T.V episode, “Blue Healers,” defended himself when asked what happened to his face. Said, “I punched myself in the face.” As the show progressed, a search warrant revealed he had punched himself in the mirror. I wonder what difference it would make if we punched pride in the face, viewed someone’s work, downloaded a biblical encouragement which a Christian brother or sister has diligently spent much time.

It's also a tragedy that many undesirable pictures or graphics are downloaded and uploaded every minute. These graphics have a pro-dominate potential to bring demise to their life. Yet, their spiritual values are a download which depicts destruction to an eternity without God.

We get discouraged, don’t we? Recently at church our preacher gave a sermon on “The Parable of the Sewer.” I approached the preacher after the message. In his busyness I said “the weeds come back.” In the next sentence I discussed with him the value of endurance. Even though the same or different weeds come back, it's devouring weeds endeavors to stop us from doing God's will. “Endurance” is the key to life on our computer or device. We need to share our testimony to the world using uploads of Christian values. It's imperative that many, if not one, will download an important message which will change their life forever.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22

You covered the topic in a fresh way.

I did have difficulty following you from time to time. It seemed like the flow was interrupted by a sudden change of topic. I think if you gave more information about the TV show or the sermon that would have helped me too.

I like your message. There are some awful things on the internet. How blessed we are to have Jesus in our lives.
