He was out in the wilderness, grazing his father-in-law’s flocks.
He suffered from a speech impediment.
But God called him to mediate between the Pharaoh and His people------
(Exodus.3:17)
He was a young boy, with no experience in public speaking.
God called him to go out into the streets of Jerusalem and proclaim His message----
(Jeremiah.1:6)
She was a young virgin when the angel, Gabriel, told her that
she was chosen by God to bear His son, the Savior of mankind----
(Luke.1:28)
It is amazing to see that the people that God has chosen to stand in the gap to mediate between Him,
the almighty Creator, and man His wayward creature. He did not choose the brave and strong. He
preferred the humble and meek, so that He could manifest His power and wisdom through them.
He did not use modern technology to find a media, but used a better method – word of mouth and the
Influence of a righteous lifestyle that reflected His message of trust, hope and love.
The pioneer missionaries who took the gospel to the primitive world endured untold miseries. They
travelled to countries far away from their homes. They faced hostile people, severe weather
conditions, unaccustomed food, starvation, disease not to mention torture and even death. Those who
witnessed their faithful lives became committed Christians. The joy and love racticed was the
media that propagated Christianity all over the world.
But the work is not over. God is still looking for someone to stand up for Him against all the wickedness
of this world, to repair the defenses, to take a stand for Him and stand in the gap to protect this land so
that He wouldn’t have to destroy it. (Ezekiel.22:30 – Message Bible.)
He is looking for someone who is humble and willing to mediate between Calvary’s grace and human
sin. Someone He could anoint with the Holy Spirit – the media of God – so that they can intercede and
warn the world of the doom to come.
God is calling:
Whom shall I send?
Who will go for us?
Who will be my media?
Long ago the prophet, Isaiah answered:
I’ll go. Send me.
He is still calling. Are we willing to be His media?
