Topic: Wow! (03/11/10)
We recently moved to Oregon. Everyday

I take a nice long winding road. To

pick up my two children at their

schools. It's a quiet path, no one in

sight. I pass tall pine trees,mountains

with clouds lightly touching them. At

times you see them moving. I see green

rolling hills with cows and wild geese.

As I drive I talk to God and say.......

"Wow" "Everything you made is so

beautiful". I look around then remember

to stay focused on the road, as there

are cliffs below. As I drive to pick up

my kids, I am "In Awe". I ask God, "Do

people ever tire of your beauty?" "Do

they take for granted what "You" made?"

I've wondered if the people who have

lived here all their lives just say....

"So" "I've seen trees, mountains, blue

skies", "What's the big deal?". When I

think of that, My thoughts turn to my

own salvation. The fact "I know Jesus".

"Is Jesus "REAL" to me". Like how I

marvel at the works of God. Or is it

just...."Yeah! I know Jesus, big deal,

doesn't everyone now days?". My thought

is this...... I want people to be

"Amazed" That people will "Know" I am

a christian. I'm reminded of the song

my kids sing. "And they'll "Know" we

are christians "By Our Love". The Love

of Jesus is simple. My daughter handed

me a delicate yellow daffodil yesterday

The beauty of Our Creator was there.

The Love of Jesus was there in the

"Giving". The "Kindness" of Our

Heavenly Father in the words "I Love

You Mom". It doesn't take much to

follow Jesus. It does require the time

to "Be There" for one another. To lend

a shoilder to cry on. To say an

encouraging word. To smile at a

stranger. To tell someone "Jesus Loves

You". When God created Adam in the

garden of eden. I know He didn't say

"So"," Big deal , I created a man". The

Bible says "He was pleased". That

sounds like a "Wow" to me.

Your passion is so evident here--how wonderful!

I'd encourage you to watch your use of quotation marks--they acutally end up making some phrases seem insincere, which is definitely not what you're going for. And I wonder if the unusual formatting is due to typing directly into the submit box and hitting 'enter' at the end of each line? If so, you might want to type out your story on your word processing program instead, and just copy and paste it into the box. PM me if you need additional help with that.
