I would like to begin with the painful yet sacredly precious that I see, think and feel in the color red. Jesus's red blood as he shed in his beatings and through the nails on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. The horrific debt He paid to wipe our sins clean. I feel pain visualizing His bloodshed and immense gratitude to Him for through His blood I am forgiven for my sins even though there are consequences and so is everyone else though I think feeling remorse is necessary.
The redness of Jesus's blood is pure and sacred to me. It means unconditional love. It also symbolizes to me the preciousness of my blood and others as well. That though there is necessary suffering in this earthly life which can strain our minds, emotions, and bodies, we need to treat ourselves with the same unconditional love Jesus and God give us by respecting and loving ourselves and not abusing ourselves and others as He has shed His blood for us to have life.
A positive, life-giving thing I see in the color red is the heart. This to me symbolizing love. Though we are given an intellect to think and is necessary, the goal to me is proper thinking, wisdom through Him which comes from a loving place. It is also how I want to believe I am called to be.
The beautiful red rose. This flower to me exemplifies the depth of God's love for me. It is bright, light filled, pure, sacred with a healthy life-giving immensity of His love for me and everyone else.
I love some of the redness as the sun sets in the evening. It adds a nice vividness as it blends with the mix of other colors. I feel good feelings when I see the sunset. A wondrous gift from God.
Though I really love the white moon the best, the red moon has me thinking thoughts of healthy power, healthy passion, love, courage with grace under fire like some of God's character traits which he has bestowed upon us as well. It can fill me with His empowering strength.
Red clothing and jewelry can also be very joyful, life-giving, empowering, and loving worn in a Godly way. For instance, a beautiful red dress, red flower prints in clothing, red sweaters, red skirts, red scarves, red hats, red shoes, red in earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.
The example of the crossing of the Red Sea in Exodus chapter fourteen in the Bible is a source of great help for me when I feel powerless and afraid of what is going on in me, in others, in life, or what to do in a situation, that if I let Him, He will guide me and if necessary, He will rescue me and deal with it and I will be safe in His hands if only I could trust.
Some of the more darker impressions I have of the color red is the bloodshed of war. The innocent people that are killed and those who go throguh horrific pain. I am also reminded of the soldiers who come out alive and other victims of war that are left with painful mental and emotional distress, such as, what is labelled Post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, and depression. The hardship on their families and other loved ones, and society as a whole.
I am not God, but, I really believe as I perceive His character that war is a definite last resort when all other measures of God's character like demonstrating peace and love in conflict resolution.
I see the color red in the heartbrokenness and mental and emotional scars of abuse. The beautiful red heart filled with God's unconditionallove has been torn, shattered, and bled and scarred from the effects of abuse. Also, the mental scars and and imbalances that occur in their brains. Yet, God is a healer. Though we may nneed to go through the pain, He can heal and bring us all back to the fullness of His light, love, and mental clarity. As we struggle, His grace is our source of strength.
These have been my thoughts and feeling on the color red.

Try to avoid referring to your own writing, as in the title and in your last sentence. And since this quarter is likely to be all colors, I encourage you to find ways to focus your upcoming entries on one aspect of a color.
