Dusty and worn from life's long journey, i took the long, winding road on the left.It's pebbles were cruel as I trudged the unpredictable well-trodden path.
Anger, as red as a Tuscani sun frequented this road of the journey. Red anger is the worst. It's uncompromisngly hot, no relief in sight. It's a seemeless, mericiless red, void of compassion and no mercy.
When the color red stoodstilllong enough to transcend to a cool blue. I could finally see clearly to take a short cut to the path of righteousness on this journey.
You see the markers on this path led to relief by instructing forgiveness, healing, prayer and peace.
Finally, the red that I so longed to run away from was now the redemptive, crimson, free-flowing blood of Jesus. Reconciling the relationship that i once marred with angry red, was now a richer, deeper, more meaningful crimson.
As i stood at Peace,watching in awe as the blood of Jesus washed over those so-traveled shoes, and swept around my knees bringing me to a surrendering bow.
I finally knew without a doubt that the color of my true love's heart was red.
