No love ,no life ,no power
Dead as hell no forming buds
A withered bulb no flower
Hope reigns naught, the vault is sealed
Death seems to rule supreme
Such empty promise fills the earth
Like a shattered broken dream
No sweet birdsong, the garden quiet
Dawn lingers far away
The promised life lies stiff and cold
Dark night steals light from day
Yet deep in heaven’s mighty mist
A power as yet unseen
Wakes the bulb the deadened soul
Enacts re-birth each spring
Deep inside the bulb’s dead heart
God infuses His own power
What once was dead is now alive
Death’s shroud a spring -grown fl’wer
Bursts from the earth, amazing grace
Shout victory… death is quelled
A risen fl’wer , a risen LORD
God’s mystery now unveiled
Eternal promise from ages old
Hope born in a treasured bower
Returns each year a message told
When spring rebirths a flower
Rose of Sharon, mighty oak
Let heaven and nature sing
Salvation’s song an endless tune
Sang each and every spring…
