My imagination goes wild.
Vibrant colors take hold of my concentration,
I see a light, a beam!
Ah-ha! There it is!
At last, the sun had dispersed over the scene.
Light spread across the land,
Giving life to every living creature.
Sunflowers by the hundreds you might see,
Stretching their necks as to follow where the light travels.
Fields of wild flowers blossoming,
as the light travels higher and higher.
I could here sounds! Oh what tuneful sounds!
It was the birds’ sweet melody!
Singing in harmony through the trees.
Rejoicing over the new day!
As the hours pass,
The sun grows higher and higher.
Reaching to the top of the sky,
Creating midday.
Children could now be seen.
Playing and laughing,
As they ran through sprinklers,
And climbed trees.
Kites were spotted soaring with the wind,
Making colors fly here and there.
Laughter and cheers sounded through the breeze,
As children shouted there approval.
Suddenly there was a rumble in the sky.
To the east the sky was black.
In seconds the sun was covered,
and rain descended from the sky.
Lightning flashed in the distance,
And thunder sounded in reply.
Rain soaked the earth,
And made room for new growth.
A clearing in the distance could be seen,
As the storm was coming to an end.
The rain ceased,
And the sun slowly came out of hiding.
Then suddenly,
An array of light flooded the sky!
Colors of all kind assembled through the heavens,
Stretching from east to west.
It was a promise,
Through His handy work,
That the earth would never be flooded again.
It was called a rainbow!
The day was slowly coming to an end,
As the sun descended past the horizon.
Darkness poured over the land,
and everything was silent.
Psalms 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament showeth his handiwork.
