The worst of them lingered
Searching for a weak one,
A soul he could injure
Impatiently he hunted
For a pleasing devastation,
A granted calamity
Of distinct satisfaction
And there she was
Helpless for his sake
Prone to his nature
Unaware of her mistake
He schemed with discretion
Perfectly disguised
He proposed a session
Configured with lies
Misleading her judgement
Surpassing her devotion
He became a remnant
Of her testimony’s destruction
His struggle was intense
As many had been before
But this fight would be different
This would end his war
He skilled her with fury
Infected her with rage
Fed upon her infirmity
Tempestuously engaged
Pleased, he stared at his prey
Capitulated in his arms
Revered in her frustration
His deed had done its harm
A victim in his shadow
For his master now to see
The victory of anger
The genre of one’s defeat
