Daddy in your soft and gentle love I can open my heart and thoughts and then the words flow out of me like a flood. I am nothing without you; I am empty, broken, lonely and deserted when I can’t talk to you. Daddy I love you and need you more than the air I breathe. I need your loving kindness, your gentleness; I need a warm soft shoulder to cry on.
Daddy you know my heart, you know that it is breaking into pieces everyday as I am desperately seeking a miracle. I need you in every single factor and area of my life. Daddy I came running to you today as I know you are my salvation, you are the only one in whom I can trust. Daddy, I have so many debts to pay and bills to settle and things to do and I don’t have a single penny on me, no hope at all. But I have you. Your word is true and will not return to you empty, it will bring forth what you have sent it to. Your word is promises me that you will take care of me. Your word also says that nothing is impossible for God. Furthermore your word says that you will provide in all my needs according to your riches and glory. In Psalms 51 you say that we must call upon you in our day of trouble and you will hear us, and you will help us and we must then give you all the honor and glory. (Free translation.) Daddy I will thank you, I will praise you, and I will honor and glorify your name. I will obey your word because of who you are and not because of what you can do for me. I love you because you are my Daddy and I don’t have a daddy on this earth, I only have you. You are more than enough for me Daddy.
Thank you for giving to me, thank you for a smile, a hug, a tear, thank you for pain because I now know that I can feel. Thank you for eyes and a mind, I can see and read, thank you for my voice, I can speak and sing your praises, even if some people thinks that I cannot sing. Thank you for ears, now I can hear. Thank you for every good and wonderful gift and blessing you have given me. Thank you Daddy.
Most of all Daddy, thank you for your soft and gentle whisper in my heart when you speak to me. Thank you for showing me that even with faith as small as a mustard seed, I can trust in you.
Daddy my daddy, I adore your soft touch, your strength, your love. Thank you so much for pouring your softness, kindness and love into my heart and life. I give to you Daddy, my gift of writing, use it to your glory, may it touch the heart of your people and may your loving kindness flow through these words into their hearts and minds and may they experience your soft loving touch as they read my prayer. Amen.
