Topic: Hot and Cold (04/09/09)
Heart in the body grows stone cold. It seems no matter what is done it remains cold and its beating is hard making a sound like wonk, crack, wonk, crack. The pain is unceasing.

Body roams around aimlessly in the fog of the night. Shivering and shaking it searches for shelter and warmth. It seems to not have a purpose. It is empty except for the cold heart…wonk, crack, wonk, crack...” Ah, a large white building it looks warm.” Body goes into the darkness and kneels between the cold hard pews...Heart breaks...Crrraack! A groan fills the air then another and soon the groans turn to sobs. Uncontrollable sobs...”My God where are you? I am so cold. Warm me!”

Suddenly ears hear sweet, soft melodic voice wafting on the airwaves...”What a friend you have in Jesus, all your sins and grief to bear...” “What?”

“What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer”...
“Are there trials and temptations are there troubles anywhere...?
All because you do not carry, everything to God in prayer...”

Voice is saying, “Lord I am hurting and I want to hurt others. Heart is cold and hard.” “Help me! Soften this cold stone within my body, make me new.” Suddenly warmth surrounds voice, ears, heart, soul and they start to thaw, warming slowly at first then racing with a new fire that is burning intensely saying, “I need to tell others of Your great comfort and warmth...”

“Bump-bump, bump-bump, bump-bump heart rushes along with a new found fire warming body, soul, and spirit.

Never again will heart and body be the same. If they begin to turn lukewarm heart knows where to turn...”Take it to the Lord in prayer”.

Lord, keep my heart, soul, mind, spirit, ears, voice and my very being on fire for You! If I become lukewarm show me the way back to the fire, whatever it takes…You are with me always! Thank you for Your unwavering love!
