You’re sitting in your seat, slowly but surely inching upward. Your heart starts to race as you near the top, anticipating the drop that is to come. If you have ever rode a roller coaster you know what this feels like.

Many times life is the same way. We are on top of the world, and then we begin to anticipate the drop. We stop living life the way God intends for us to live it because we are afraid of “what if.”

Our fear lies over the top of the hill and it paralyzes us. If we continue to fear the “downs” in life, then we cannot enjoy the “ups.” We place limits on God when we choose to live in fear. God has given each one of us awesome abilities and if allow our apprehensions to cause us not to take risks then we are in fact killing our faith.

Allow God to bring you up to the top and then spread your wings and soar! Nothing compares to the joy in knowing God is in control when you’re up and when you’re down. Walk on faith in the down times and fly high on the ups but remember life is lived between the two.
