Topic: Home for Christmas (11/20/08)
Celebrating Christmas with my family is a traditional thing each year. With my immediate family, we each open one gift on Christmas Eve, and then my husband and I send the kids to bed early. I stay up a bit later with my husband, and then we watch a couple christmas programs on television together.

My brothers, their wives, my neices, and my children come to my parents place for Christmas. We celebrate Christmas at my parent's place on Christmas day every other year. The first thing we do is have lunch, open the gifts, have some quiet time, and have christmas dinner. We usually have turkey.

If were not celebrating it as a whole family on Christmas day then then my brother and his wife who live in Scarbrough come down the Sunday before Christmas day. We all spend that special Sunday where have turkey for dinner. As a routine after we come back from a church service, we all have lunch, and open the gifts.

I also like to celebrate Christmas with my husband, and my kids. As a tradition we get up in the morning, I have coffee, and open gifts with my family. Afterwards we have like a quiet time where each person in the family does his or her thing. During that quiet time, I either go outside or read a good book. One year I went sledding with my daughter when there was quite a bit of snow.

Christmas is a day where we can put our every worries aside. Like with me, I have an anxiety disorder, and I get can get stressed over buying Christmas gifts. I feel giddy inside crowded stores. When Christmas day comes, I can relax, have Christmas dinner, and watch some Christmas shows or DVD moves on T.V over a cup of egg nog or hot Chocolate.

Be careful of repetitive words like "then then the".
I liked how Christmas with your family gives you peace!
