Pastor Joey had the message straight that morning. My seemingly quitting pride was wanting restoration. It was my Mom who stood by me during those tough times. It is not an exaggeration but the truth is, I was giving up and wanting to put end to everything.
Nothing was private for with each testing, I felt the exigency for my actions. I was also praying but I wasn’t so certain that favor would still be poured by Heaven, however, I understood that God was moving… All I needed to do was to be silent in His presence. I prayed. It’s no more than a simple thought to consider my isolation from God’s direction. I knew, I have gone far from obeying Him. I thought, it was easy to run from those afflictions. My thoughts were not reconciled yet at the final hour, I felt like, I was finely picked to absorb the mist from His reminder. His Words cut me of and led me to still celebrate the last holiday of the year, Christmas.
The Christmas lights attached to one of the posts of the church building gave me better signal to move closer to the post. I saw one that was seemingly unlit. Then, it really was! I touched the unlit bulb. I was sorry, deeply sorry to see myself unlighted, if I happened to be one of the bulbs. The church celebrated Christmas, I also did. I had the bulb replaced by a new one(just that single bulb)and i saw a better glow, blinking the spirit that binds man to man and more, God to man.
If i did not come for the worship
service, i would'nt realize, i was unlit. So bad I could have taken my life before Christmas. ‘so bad to fool myself with it. So bad, I would miss the LIGHT of my LIFE, better than the bulbs on the post.
