Snap to…….
If you are ever in the military, you will hear these words. Sometimes it is used instead of the words, Hup-two, which stands for Attention, or in walking, the words to make a change in step. If someone wants you to hurry up, some will say, “snap to it”.
Many different meanings can define the word “snap”. Use the word as a verb, noun or adjective. As an adjective, we can say, “Those beans are “snap” beans,” telling you what kind they are. Using the verb, we might inquire, “Did you “snap” the branch into?” Moreover, the noun is a “snap” taken by the snap of a camera.
We can also do something quickly, like in a “snap”. Being easy, “That was a real snap because it was so very easy to accomplish.” To make it effective, we “Snap” our thumb and pointer finger together to make a snapping sound. Did you ever wonder why a severe sudden cold spell is referred to as a “Cold snap”? Probably, because most everything can break or “snap into” from the frigid weather when touched.
Do you think it is a “snap” to serve JESUS in this era? Is it a breeze, or are there trials and temptations to try to make us “snap” from the pressure of the evil forces? Sometimes people are not able to withstand the stress or cope with daily activities, so the “snap” and lose their tempers, or even their sanity. The thing that is most easy is to hand them over unto the LORD, and HE will make everything bearable.
Just to hear HIS tender voice telling us we will make it, and HE will not leave us alone, oh, how marvelous to experience HIS Divine presence in those difficult times.
We must seek HIM and HIS righteousness (because ours is as filthy rags) and there is nothing too good that HE will withhold from us.
