Remember playing the game “Charades” as a child? Remember how exciting it was to try to guess by looking at various “clues” what the “Charader” was giving? Remember the thrill that built up to ultimately guessing what the winning answer was? This fun game was often played with a group of people in a very animated setting with a lot of joking and laughter. Even more thrilling than trying to guess the answer was the anticipation of waiting your turn until you were the person giving out the clues –silently waiting and thinking of the clues you were going to give in the back of your mind while awaiting your turn.
It occurs to me that living life is just like playing the game of Charades. While you are trying to decipher the other person’s clues to find out what the answers are, sometimes your guess is correct, and sometimes you are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off! All this time, you are patiently waiting for your own turn as well. While you are the person trying to guess all of the clues to the answers, if you are really lucky it will be in an animated setting with much jokes and laughter – and the excitement of waiting for your turn to “play”.
Every person that exists is continuously playing one huge game of charades. If we are blessed enough to have people playing the game with us that we love, such as our family and friends, then perhaps the most fun lies in the ANTICIPATION surrounding what lies in the answers - not just the answers itself.
