My Child Where are You? August 13, 2008
Based on Genesis 3:8,9 & 10 (NKJV)





Adam where are you?
In the silence
Hear the echo?
Adam where are you?

See them holding hands?
Behind the shrubbery tall and lush
Fig leaves covering their shame
Or so they thought
God's voice calling, gently calling
Adam where are you?
Listen for the echo
Adam where are you?

See him tilling the earth
Weeds and thistles all around
Drops of sweat and tears
Watering the turned up ground
God's voice calling, gently calling
Adam where are you?
Listen for the echo
Adam where are you?

See her in her agony
A child coming forth
From intense pain to joy
This time she's brought forth a boy
She's also calling
God, O God where are you?






See him master a ship
Through calm and tempest seas
The selling of human flesh
New drops of sweat and tears
New voices calling
God, O God where are You?
God's voice calling, gently calling
Adam where are you?
Tears in this echo
Adam where are you?

See her walking the streets
Her daughter waits
In a single room
Alone crying out
Mommy where are you?
Still mommy walks
The streets waiting on
A very different call

See him pilot the plane
Generations have past
Since Adam tilled the ground
And Eve brought forth a son
Still in the distance, across the ages,
In the silence of time
I hear God calling…gently calling
My child where are you?
My child where are you?

My child where are you?
