The Bridge to GOD
What is the purpose of a bridge? To cross over and get from one point unto another as the bridge joins the two points together dry ground to dry ground.
Now, I just love two types of bridges here on earth. They are very intriguing to me in many ways and I get like a young’un when I spot one.
One, my favorite, is the old wooden covered bridge that usually spans over a flowing body of water. They are so beautiful and there are few left in this era.
Secondly, the swinging bridge is so mystifying to me. I am very intrigued with it. I really love watching four legged critters walk across or try to do so. It is hilarious.
Nevertheless, the greatest of all bridges throughout this whole world, is JESUS CHRIST. HE is the bridge between GOD and man. We are united with ALMIGHTY FATHER GOD through CHRIST JESUS.
Just like the bridges of crossing over water, a railroad track, a road, or a deep valley, JESUS helps us across from the point of sin, by the way of the cross, to GOD. No greater love than HE that laid HIS life down for us, while HE is there, we can walk over to the FATHER. No man can see GOD except through JESUS, the SON.
Unlike wooden covered bridges, JESUS will not rot and collapse; neither is HE like the planks and ropes of the swinging bridges that also can leave a gap in the floor surface.
JESUS is whole and makes us whole. Moth cannot eat HIM, nor rust cannot erode HIM, or HIS provision for us to cross to GOD.
Love is the strongest bond between two individuals and GOD sent JESUS for us because HE loved us and reunites us unto HIM, the Holy FATHER.
JESUS is love and HIS love gave us HIS life, reconciling us to GOD who will not look upon sin.
Matthew 16:
5 Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. 6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”
“Crossing over to the other side” does not always mean death on earth to awaken in Glory (rest in Heaven) or Destruction. JESUS crossed to obtain rest from the multitude. It may also mean crossing from the darkness of this world into HIS marvelous light that is eternal.
If your have used JESUS to cross over to the light, put your faith in HIM, and trusting HIS strength is far greater than all substances any way.
When you have crossed to the newest of all, allow HIM to walk by your side as HE guides you in all things.
