“Why are they so sad?”
“They do not know the plan I have for them yet”
“Will You give them another baby?”
“Yes in time.”
Amber held the nail scarred hand as they turned and walked toward the pearly gates. She remembered the comfort of her earthly mother’s voice and the touch of her daddy’s rough fingertip.
Years passed and Amber watched her parents from the heavens. She saw her mother cry on what would have been her birthday. She saw the tears in her daddy’s eyes when he prayed at the altar for understanding and comfort for his wife. Amber also saw the whispers of thanks and praise lifted upward when they found out they would have another child.
“ I have a brother!”
The Great I Am stood from hammering the last nail into one of his children’s immaculate mansions.
“Yes.”
“Oh Lord, will he be healthy?”
“Yes my child.”
“Thank you Jesus.”
More years passed and Amber watched her brother grow and become a missionary and lead so many souls to the Christ she had come to know and love. Amber’s heart rejoiced to hear the angels singing every time another lamb entered the fold. That had been thirty-two years ago, but to Amber it seemed like merely minutes. Now it was time for her family reunion. Gabriel had just blown the trumpet, and the occupants of Heaven were all watching as The King of Kings returned to Glory with all His children.
