Grandparents are the best examples of love that we can have in this world. This is probably because they have had more experience at it than the rest of us. Therefore, I believe maturity plays an integral part, which is something else that Grandparents have more experience in than the rest of us. Maybe being called GRAND Parents is what makes all the difference. It gives them a different air of quality than the rest of us. I guess it’s almost like a milestone for maturity and with maturity comes wisdom. I know as a child, my Grandfather was the best thing since sliced bread. He wasn’t a Christian and certainly had a lot of flaws, but I had the utmost respect, admiration and love for the man and listened to all of his stories and tales. I hung on every word. We’ve all heard stories from our Grandparents’, they always begin with “Back in the good ole days”, or “When I was a young lad” or “lass”, depending on who was telling the story. Quite often though, these are the stories which helped shape us into who we are, instilling the moral values and traditions in us that are so often passed through the generations. I believe that our Grandparents are the basis God uses to create an emphasis of value and importance in our lives. Grandparents are on a different playing field to their Grandchildren; therefore looking up to them is something that is just done. Grandparents become the first example of God’s love in our lives.
Now that I have grown and am a mother myself, he is still the centre of our entire family and probably the most important member. I guess within our family unit, he is the most like God, and probably the closest too since he has had a lot more life lessons than the rest of us. My Grandfather, who is a Great-Great Grandfather, had 11 children, 2 deceased with 9 surviving. In total he has 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by 70 descendants and he is only 82 years old. Love got him there, love got him through, and love keeps him going. There is no greater love than God’s love, but a Grandparents love comes pretty close.

My suggestion would be to find a stronger "hook"--something compelling to make your reader want to keep reading. Also, think of some concrete examples to illustrate your points: something funny or moving that your reader can relate to.
Your writing is very good--just needs to be kicked up a notch.
