Waiting, Waiting for some clue,
You don’t say a word,
Yet I have heard you loud and clear.
Your still not here,
But I am,
Such a fool,
To be holding hope in you still near.
Assumptions pounding through my head
Filling me with dread,
Your silence saying more to me,
Then you may ever know.
And so, I say to you,
I am no longer dumb,
Though it appears you are,
That’s the saddest thing to me by far.
I am just dumbfounded,
How my stomach was tied in knots,
Searching for the remote to hit the mute
To the volume of my thoughts.
But I am not afraid to speak,
To tell to you the truth,
Once I couldn’t break the bounds of you,
I am no longer weak.
The moment I truly sought,
To seek the truth,
The truth did set me free,
How I wish that you could see.
I promise you, at first it isn’t easy,
To face the doubt and face the fear,
To step out on faith, to call Christ near,
To unlock this truth, He is the Key.
This promise is for you as well as me,
I found forgiveness with in his arms,
So now I give it to you freely,
And hope and pray
That "wisdom is proved right",
I’ll be ever listening,
For Angel’s rejoicing in heaven,
More for one, then ninety nine,
Who let their words be few,
And learned the language of the divine
