Grab some paper and start to write
If you want to be a painter
Then paint something - ALRIGHT
If you want to be a movie star
Then find some place and act
You say that it’s a date you want
Go find someone - that’s a fact
So you want to be a singer
Start singing - now’s the time
You want to be a poet
Start writing then a rhyme
You say the trash needs taken out
Then get up from your chair
Stop telling me what should be done
Start doing it you hear
You want to save some money
Quite spending so much dear
It’s some weight you want to lose
Quite eating like a bear
So many things I hear folks say
As they sit around and talk
The proof is in the pudding son
Quite talking - let’s see you walk
Yes Jesus said we’d know them
By the fruit that they put out
For what they do tells more to you
Then if they stand and shout
