Topic: Desire (01/17/05)
We all have a vibration that is
uniquely our own.
From the very beginning a higher
power set my tone.

Very young and I knew it would be no
easy life.
It would be filled with pain and suffering
anger and strife.

Test after test was given to me,
from loneliness to poverty and
even bigotry.

A life I could not change or even deny
Though at time I foughtt God and had no will to try.

For the times that over and over I fell
a burning in was felt in my heart and my anger did serve me well.

No one would understand this spiritual journey I would take.
And countless are the times that I lost
and how my heart did break.

But my life was not my own
nor will it ever be
for I am here as a suffering servant
for all the world to see.

I also love the first verse. And the whole thing captures well the battle we all fight to overcome. God bless you.

I loved the last verse best. It sounds like Jesus - and that's what we should desire - to be like Jesus. Some of the poem's rhythm seemed abrupt, but I loved the thoughts you expressed.
