for a whole year now let me try what is the worst that
can happen? I‘ve read everything there is to read and I am
absolutely positive of all the things one would need to know
concerning this subject besides who else is going to do it?
Everyone knows I am the one with all the free time
on my hands.
Well we’re not sure if you have enough experience
after all, the words that are said cannot be taken back!
What if you go in there and say something that you will
regret then what will you do? How am I going to know
that if you and all the others won’t give me a chance?
Well we will get back to you in a week or so.
A whole eight days went by! I was in the middle
of a great story when the phone started to ring.
Hello I said; ok! great I’ll be happy to start next week.
I knew they would see things my way!
So for the next week I prepared for the big day,
well not really I just got some things together I
thought they would enjoy! And I knew everything
on this subject because I have been doing this for
a year now and after all what was the big deal
you read you study and read some more,
then listen to some teaching tapes and watch
preachers on tv and “WHALA!” you are a Christian!
I mean how hard can it be?
The next week came so quickly I found
myself in the middle of this class room
filled with these young people called teenagers!
I looked around at them, as they were waiting for
me to open my mouth to say something a strange
feeling came over me, like when the dentist starts the drill!
Well I introduced myself and jumped in. I asked the kids
what have you been studying up till now?
One of the boy’s shouted out we’ve been studying
the will of God! You know what does God want verses
what do we want! And how do we really know
when it’s Gods will or are own will! “WOW”
I never thought much about what does God want for me,
of course I didn’t say that out loud!
That’s when this girl spoke up and said; it’s like
when you think you know everything and don’t!
but you don’t realize it until its to late and then
you try and fix it and it just gets worse!
All of a sudden I felt strange again
only this time it was coming from my heart!
Could this be what’s called conviction!
Like the tv preachers talk about!
Another kid spoke up and said; Ms Smith
do you know what Gods will is for you?
I looked at all the faces staring at me with anticipation
and said; Well I thought I did!

It took awhile for me to find out that the thing the author was too confident about was teaching Sunday School. Perhaps that should have been mentioned in the first paragraph.
