Our church encouraged groups of its congregation to meet within the members' homes on a weekly basis. Our home was a frequent setting for our little group.
Even though I was not active in church at the time, I was often "pulled" into the group by their singing. I would timidly enter the room and meet with radiating love.
I remember the blending of the voices as they sang various songs..
There was always prayer (I was often on the list) and scripture reading by the leader. Sometimes someone was moved to testify about a blessing they received or a special event. Always there was a time for refreshments and fellowship.
Most of all I remember trying to slip away. The attempts were not successful. I can smile at how they made me one of their own even though I was reluctant.
Always love in the King's House.

I was kind of surprised that a church would put a home group in the home of someone not active in that church.
Nice ending.
