The time was 6:00pm. My eye caught the dim flash of light coming from the car head lights of friends and aquaintances' cars. I hurried to the kitchen where I had my prepared cookies for the children to snack on while their parents were in their go deep groups.

As I walked out into the living room, I witnessed my Father setting fire to the logs in the fireplace. I loved to watch the fire play and change an infinite limit of colors as it grew. In my eyes, it was a beautiful dance of magestic grace, yet so unpredictable. It was as if it was alive.

As the children gathered in the family room to watch a movie, the adults made their way to the living room. The leader set his bible upon the table, and signaled for all to join him in prayer.

"As we gather to learn more about You, and grow deeper in the word, we say thank You, for letting us gather around the fire. For You give us the warmth of the fire, just as Your love warms us from the inside out. For with fire, You protected us from our enemies, yet aslo with fire, You've guided and directed us. We have seen Your power, yet Your grace as well. Thank you for being the wonderful Lord You are. Amen."
