However, I’m not overflowing with wisdom and a lot of the time I don’t know what you really need or even think to ask (I hope with time I’ll get better at that.). So I’m telling you now what’s in my heart and only comes out in fumbling efforts.
I know that more than needing to know my thoughts you need to hear God’s. I’m dedicated to joining with you whenever you need company in entering God’s presence. I’ll stand beside you, I’ll even hold your hand if you want me to. When you don’t have words I’ll tell him what I can. Even when we are apart I’ll take time to come before him and talk with him about your concerns. We’ll be remembering you.
Sometimes I assume you want to be handled in the same ways as I do. But I’m learning there are situations where I’d respond by going off alone whereas you’d want company. Or where I’d want to be brought to laughter while you just want acknowledgment of your sorrow. I know it hurts when I blunder, please tell me when I do so I can know you better!
Often it’s the little things that speak loudest. I’m going to find little ways to show you that you are a wonder. I’m going to ask about how you are doing with the time and desire to hear your answer. When I know of something that would make you smile it’s not going to be too much bother. You have abilities that are underestimated and I’m going to seek out their development. I’m going to ask your opinion on a variety of topics -be prepared!
Most of all, I want you to know that even when I don’t treat you with love, I know you are worthy of love, and I hope you always know that too.
