Christi, teen with a mission.
“Mother may I get you anything, glass of water, cup of coffee?
Not now? Mom, you are staring: you look as though you may have a question.”
“Just this: why read the Bible so much? You know small print's bad for your eyes!”
Andrea, mom with a mission.
“Another thing missy after sitting so prissy, your back will be out,
And those bangs! Just let them hang: you’ll make a loads better impression.”
“But I thought you and Dad would be sad if I didn’t spend time in the Word.
And the light is just right.
What’s come over you, Mom? You’re usually strong on good posture!
And my hair, I declare, has been driving you mad!" You said, “Pull it back tight.”
“Well, you're way too serious and awful mysterious, go out, have fun for a change!”
Christi, you only live once;
I tell you chic, its time for a flick, take my car and this card,
Change your rags, something rad - you might run into some hunks!”
“Good gracious, Mom, you’re too precious, Take the van? I can’t understand!
With Dad out of town
I’d rather stay here with you, besides you’ll need help with dinner!
Now anything at all, I‘ll be right down the hall: it’s settled, I’m hanging around."
“Gracious? Precious? You’re wandering in the dark ages. Lighten up, take a chance!
Really, don’t worry, I’m fine!
As to dinner, we’ll grab from the freezer! Lean Pockets will do for us two.
Or if not, there’s a pizza and chip dips, and salsa. Must we always be toeing the line?"

Oh hon, you’re a pearl!
Jim, it‘s amazing! Your plan! Like an absolute charm it‘s been working!
When you get off your plane, best look for our name: you simply will not know your girl!

What the Son is saying to the Father, “I love it when a plan comes together:
Mom thinks it‘s Dad’s, the girl's sure it’s hers, but we all know Who's truly been working.”
