Merry Xmas, Season’s Greetings how do you like the sound of those, I mean we here those more and more. Every Christmas, opps, hope no one from the aclu is reading this, anyway as I was saying every Christmas the use of the word Christ becomes a focal point of debate. Companies are telling employees not to use the term Merry Christmas for fear of offending a non-Christian customer, or fellow worker. The aclu, I know this should be in capital letters but I refuse to show them that much respect after all they refuse to show any respect to Christ, and He was born on Christmas to offer them eternal life. The aclu brings lawsuits against children in school for something as innocent as giving out cards that have the real message of Christmas in them. City displays are not allowed to have manger scenes, the aclu and their supporters want to drive the very thought of Christ out of our lives. But none of this should come as a shock or surprise to us, Christ said the world in His day hated Him, and we should not find it strange that the world of our day feels any different.

In New Testament times the religious leaders hated Him because He exposed their hypocrisy and false religion. Today the liberal religious leaders deny His virgin birth, His rightful place as the Son of God, His atoning death on the cross. The merchants in that day hated Him because He fed the multitudes and ran them out of the Temple. Today the merchants look forward to Christmas, not because it celebrates the birth of our Savior, but because it lines their pockets as does no other holiday. This year we saw a large retail store chain that would not allow The Salvation Army to collect in front of their places of business, although they had done so in the pass. What caused this change in policy, the fact that the Salvation Army is associated with Christ! The lawyers of His day hated Him because they could not trick or trap Him in any of their legal questions. The aclu hates Him today because He not only brings the truth, but is the Truth, and just like their counterparts in His day because they can not discredit His message that they are lost sinners, they seek to remove Him from our society. The politicians of His day could find no fault in Him but to please those that hated Him, sent Him to the cross. The same in our time, those on the left who wish to placate the Christ haters of our day, defend the rights of those who seek to destroy the rights of Christians. The judges of that day held a mock trial and pronounced the sentence of death on Him, because He exposed their lawlessness and injustice. Today in our nation the courts and judges who sit on them hand down verdicts that oppose the laws of God and uphold sin and unrighteousness.

So this year when the Christmas Season rolls around just be careful who and where you wish a Merry Christmas, you never know when a member of the aclu may be listening, just waiting to take the Christ out of your Christmas!

I do see your point and somewhat agree. But no one can really take the Christ out of Christmas, no matter what they do. This almost seemed more of a piece against the ACLU than anything.

Sometimes it does seem like we are a country more "politically correct" than honestly correct. But it's true, no one can take the heart out of christmas but us. The merchants can't take away unless the parents got too lazy to instill the message in the first place. Sometimes Ithink we blame the courts for what we are simply not doing as parents and families. Having said that, your indignation was well written.

it's so true,but know one can take Christ out of Christmas. people in 21st century are nuts!
