She was so tired of being spied upon, of being trapped in a body filled with pain. That big wall with the cyber-generated picture haunted her. If only she could walk outside and actually talk with real people face to face. She longed for sweaty bodies and careless spills left by sloppy people. This perfect world was driving her crazy.
Not everyone felt the way that she did. Not everyone wanted a world of real people with real arguments with real tears for real injuries. She longed for the days when you depended upon the Lord for answers and not the overseer. Perhaps she had lived too long. Maybe it was time for her to die so that someone else could have her space.
As Marie got ready for bed, she recalled the depressing thoughts that had flooded her that day. Boy, Satan had really done a job on her. She needed to spend some time with her Lord.
Slowly and lovingly she opened her Bible to Psalms 19:14. “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight…”
Oh, Lord, please forgive me. My thoughts today have not been your thoughts. You are my Rock and my Redeemer. Please help me to stop thinking about myself and tell others about you. Please give me the right words to think and to say so that I may show others you. Help me to take every opportunity to glorify your name.
Early the next morning, the voice of the master screen jarred Maria awake. It was time to get up. Time to do her morning stretches. As Maria sat down to eat her soggy oatmeal, today, by God’s grace, was going to be different. It no longer mattered to her that her every word and deed was recorded. If only God would give her another chance, she . . .
Then, she heard it. A faint scratching sound at her door. Slowly, she painfully pressed the button to open her door. “Please help me, Lord.” As the door quietly slid on its tracks, the disheveled, tearstained face of her neighbor appeared in the opening. “Maria, can you help me? I don’t know what to do. . .”

I'm not sure I understand why this "perfect" world would have someone obviously suffering from a disabling physical ailment. It would seem there would be cures for everything. But of course that device allowed your character to have a reason for being alone.
However, I did like how even in this future world, where your character thinks she is alone in her "politically incorrect" views, the need for human contact cannot be erased by man and his society. God built us to want to seek contact with Him and with His other creatures. You summed up that thought nicely in this piece. Kudos to you!
